On the first night of Chanukkah my true love game to me... a marching band blasting Christmas Charols in the morning, Rome finally decorated for Christmas, and 3 Swastikas along the way. <3
This morning to a brass band outside my window charoling. Though slightly annoyed that it was sooo loud, I couldn't help but smile, and wish I was playing with them too! I miss my trumpet, and I miss Mr. HERRMANN!!! <3
Daniella and I had our Rome date today. We grabbed some panini and picked up her Austrailian friend Isaac. Then, we made our way to the Pantheon, and then to the best espresso place in Rome. From there, we walked towards Piazza Venezia, and made our way to the top of the Vittoriano Monument. The view of Rome from that high up is simply breath-taking. It's incredible. You could see all of Rome... Piazza del Popolo, the Vatican, the Coloseum, the Forum, the Teatro di Marcello, the Jewish Ghetto, the Capitoline, and soooo much more. I'm really glad I got up there again.
From there, we walked through the Jewish Ghetto to Trastevere to meet up with Dustin and Christy for lunch. Along the way, three swastikas reminded me how I can't wait to go home and celebrate my holiday. We had lunch at a place called "On the ROX Roma." It was obviously waiting for me. lol I even got to take my picture on the vespa they rented for the day! Yay!
After lunch, we finally made our way to my gelatto mecca. I've been waiting too long for this. My flavors were calling my name. The second I took that first taste, it was simply orgasmic. What flavor, what taste, what heavenly goodness. Mmmmm..... I don't know how I will live without my Black Passion and Passion Fruit. I'll have to fulfill my passion quota in some other way. haha
When we finished our gelatto, we started to make our way towards Piazza Navuona, but instead stopped so Daniella could get her hair cut. She cut it short... bob short... and it looks soooo hot!
Afterwards, we made our way back to the residence and I made dinner for everyone with whatever scraps we had left. Then, I did Danielle's makeup, and they headed out.
Happy First Night of Chanukkah to Everyone!
And... since it's after midnight... a special birthday shout out to Larry T! Wish you all the best! Hope you have an incredible time at your party! Happy Birthday!!!
Signing Off,
Ciao Bella...
