I woke up... literally at dawn to meet my drawing class down at the Capitolini Museum. Though I had already been there with Blanche, I'm not one to pass up a free ticket. Oh yeah... it was also a class requirement. ;)
Of coarse, once we got there, we were told we were not aloud to sketch. It had to do with some copyright issues. We WERE allowed to take pictures though. I know what you're thinking. It makes no sense. It made no sense to us either, but to the Italians, black is white. lol
It was interesting going in the museum with someone who knows the art, and could explain us the stories behind it. Though I enjoyed it the first time, I enjoyed it just as much this time. I got to see it in a different light. We saw the Medusa, the Romulus and Remus statue, the big foot and hand, the horseman... lol... Clearly, I picked up a ton! We saw some Caravaggio paintings, as well as the whole painting gallery, and sculpture gallery. It was nice.
After drawing, I made my way back towards school with everyone. Obviously, I stopped at my deli for lunch. ;)
When I got to school, I signed up for the soccer game on the 22nd. Yep, you heard right! I think I'm staying home next weekend. I need a weekend off from traveling. I'm exhausted! I might sneak in a day trip to Florence though. haha... You know me. I can't sit still. To much to do, and see!
After Italian, I had Design. Luca Laurenti came to speak with us. He's a graphic artist, who goes by the name Mklane. He's very talented, and very busy. He designs t-shirts, works with magazines, celebrities, music, politics... and he's only 25! He's very clearly quite successful, and really has a passion for what he does.
When I got home around 5pm, the original plan was to sleep til midnight. What really happened was a bit different. First, I made dinner...
Menu:
Fettucini with a red sauce made of sauteed tomatoes and onions, with grilled chicken. Yum!
Then, I went on facebook and random other sites...
Around 10pm-ish, Amber, Brittney, Danesha, and I went to Old Bridge to get some gelato. Chocolate and Strawberry. Yum! Yum! Yum!
When I got home, I went back online... and then packed...
It's 1am now. I have to leave for the airport around 3-3:30am. By the time I shower and get dressed, it will be that time. So much for sleep! Oh well...
