Roma vs Bari

Our internet crashed on us last night, so I had to save yesterday's blog in a word document temporarily. Tonight, there will be another. Here it goes.

Yesterday was the big match… ok, not so big… but it was the day Temple was going to the soccer game. After some convincing and the fact that Temple organized a group, I decided to suck it up, and see what all the fuss was about.

A Roma soccer game is said to be a, “real experience.” After attending, I have to say… it definitely was. Roma fans are intense! Though we did not sit in the same section as the fanatics in Curva Sud, we did sit right next to them. We, though, were protected by 3-4 inches of bullet proof glass. :)

Throughout the whole game, fans not only cheered for the home team and boo-ed the opposing team, they also sang! They sang throughout the WHOLE game. It was the most organized chaos I have ever seen. It seemed as though every member of the audience knew every single word of every single cheer, and every single song. No one missed a beat. Smoke filled the stadium from both flares and cigarettes. The whole place also wreaked of beer. Fans screamed, and jumped, and sang their little hearts out. The Curva Sud section even stood… the entire game. My Roma, of course, won the game. <3

Signing Off,
Ciao Bella…
