That's just my luck...

The day started out rather nicely. I met my drawing class at the Pantheon, and we proceeded to Chiesa di Santa Maria Maddelena to sketch. From there, we went back to the Pantheon, both inside and out. After a quick stop at the art supply store, we continued on to our final location, which was Piazza Colona.

From there, I went to my deli, and then to take my Italian test.

For Italian Design, we went to the Richard Meir building, also known as the Ara Pacia.

I came home, I took a nap, and then I made dinner. I think I finally came up with a great dish, from this week's ingredients. I made a pasta dish, with tiny grain pasta. Inside I mixed chicken, broccoli, zucchini, onions, and tomatoes. It was sooo good! I had made to much for myself though, and so decided to give Danielle a call to see if she would be interested... She was, and she came over instantly.

Afterwards, Danielle invited me to come out for some drinks, and though usually in Rome, I'm quite the party pooper... I decided to go out! I got dressed, put on some make-up and met Danielle and Molly downstairs around 10:30pm.

It was too good to last. Before making it to the bus stop, I slipped in some dog shit and seriously injured myself. I still don't know how serious my injuries are. At first, I couldn't get up at all. Once I did, I realized my left ankle and my right knee were in excrutiating pain. Though I decided to fight through it, this might not have been the best of ideas.

As I hobbled the rest of the way to the bus stop like a certified cripple, I couldn't help but laugh. It figures that I finally go out, and I get injured...

When we got to the bus stop, I sat down to check if I was at least somewhat in tact. The girls offered to walk me home, but I insisted that I wanted to go and get at least one drink. Vodka cures everything, right?

Getting off the bus was a struggle, and the cobble stone streets of Rome were even worse. Each step felt like pure torture. I don't think I've ever been so happy to see Campo di Fiori or an American Bar in Rome ever in my life. I just wanted to sit down.

Not even half a drink in, I couldn't take it anymore, and I jumped in a cab and went home.

That's just my luck...
So much for my day trip tomorrow. Maybe another day...

Signing off,
Ciao Bella...
